Anchor University is a ministry of Anchor Church located in McKinney, TX.  Through a variety of programs we offer students to start or continue their educational and ministry-discipleship journey while being fully immersed in the culture of Anchor Church and gaining practical ministry and marketplace experience.  

We exist to prepare leaders in the church and marketplace with great integrity, competence, character and skill through a holistic training environment.  Our students lead lives of significant ministry impact by fulfilling their role in the Great Commission.

You’ll be equipped with hands-on training by Anchor Church staff and leaders who will certainly help you grow in your capacity and competency to lead and influence others.

Whether you’re just starting off your higher education journey, continuing it or exploring a way to expand it, Anchor University has a place for you.  Our programs and training systems go beyond the standard curriculum and typical college experience.  We guarantee to prepare you to lead and impact the world around you for Christ.  Anchor University offers three paths depending on your goals whether you're seeking an accredited degree, focused ministry training, or both.

Degree Seeking Program

Earn a fully accredited degree through Southeastern University while remaining rooted in the life and community of Anchor Church.

Anchor Leadership Program

Receive hands-on ministry and leadership training through classes, a ministry track, and direct mentorship from Anchor Church leaders.

Dual Enrollment

Combine a fully accredited degree with immersive ministry training, real-world leadership experience, and spiritual formation.

Tracks For Ministry Experience

Creative

Develop your creative and technical skills while helping tell the story of what God is doing in and through Anchor Church.

Worship

Grow as a vocalist or instrumentalist while learning to help create meaningful worship experiences that lead people into the presence of God.

Anchor Kids

Learn to create safe, fun, and age-appropriate environments where children discover the Bible and the love of Jesus.

Anchor Students

Help equip middle and high school students to grow in their relationship with Jesus, build meaningful relationships, and walk out their calling.

  • Anchor University offers three paths: a degree-seeking program through Southeastern University, the Anchor Leadership Program for focused ministry training, and a combined option for students who want both experiences.

  • No. Students can participate in the Anchor Leadership Program without pursuing a university degree. Those seeking an accredited degree can enroll through Southeastern University.

  • Students can gain hands-on experience in Creative, Worship, Anchor Kids, or Anchor Students while learning from Anchor Church staff and ministry leaders.

  • Depending on the selected program, a student’s week may include classes, ministry-track experience, leadership development, mentorship, and participation in the life of Anchor Church.
